Be a Skater Punk! Why Not?

I wanted to show my punk side today. Wicca's Wardrobe helped me out with their newest release of Horizon Jacket and Ares Pants. The detailed accessories on the Horizon Jacket and Ares Pants is amazing. It's so realistic! It might be the vibrant plaid color on the collars, pockets, and flair bottoms. Or it could be the belt. How about the pants chain dangling behind? No, I got it! It's the zippers, straps, studs, and rings! Okay, Okay, maybe it's each piece that makes it is so amazingly realistic. But that's not all. Both creations come with eight changeable colors, and price? How about,  295Ls each. In total for the full Horizon Jacket and Ares Pants 590Ls. Worth it? Most definitely!

Wanting to keep the punk style going I headed over to Truth to find Holly. I've never had black hair before, so it was a nice change! Tipped with blue it helped draw out the plaid of blue and green. Next something around my neck. Now I didn't want to go with the 'normal' necklaces, I wanted something catchy. I headed over to [MANDALA] and ta da! The unisex Smexy Tie Necklace drew me right away. Selecting it and then moving onto shoes. I will say at first finding the type of shoes I had in mind took a minute until I recalled HOC. HOC sells a mix of affordable accessories and shoes. There I found the Lowtops and it was easily changeable to 9 colors. Cost? 50Ls.

I'm Feeling Sinister Today!

I could not pass this item up! As soon as I saw it, I had to have it! When I put it on and I felt sinister in a delightful way. What ensemble am I talking about? Dahlia from Vengeful Threads of course! Dahlia comes with a half-jacket collared with feathers and a lace top with plunging neckline. It can make anyone feel sensual. The high waist pants are simply to die for! The fabric is so rich with four sliver buckles enhancing the waist line. I honestly don't want to take them off as soon as I put them on!

Wanting to follow the sinister style I added Bad Reputation a bold platinum hair with [MANDALA] Ero-Sensei necklace set. Let's not forget to add the black leather ankle boots from Bax Coen Design.

Fight for Breast Cancer Awareness!

It's October and it's not just about Halloween but Breast Cancer Awareness. This month is THE month to make people aware of breast cancer. This topic is rather dear to my heart because I lost my grandmother to it. Though it saddens me, it also gives me the strength to speak passionately about it. Did you know that breast cancer is most common cancer seen in woman other than skin cancer? In fact,  if you live in the US, women have a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer can also effect men, though lower at risk, shouldn't be overlooked. Women, on the other hand, account for 29% of new diagnoses of this form of cancer every year. Surprised? I was! Now, what about age? In the most recent study I could find, 88% of breast cancer death occur in women at 50 or older, however this does not mean you shouldn't get yearly checkups and watch for changes in your body. There could be dark days ahead for some of us women, but losing a battle doesn't mean the war is over.  Make a difference today, become aware and encourage others to do the same. 1 in 8 people you tell could be saving their life.

Skin shopping is hard work and don't let anyone tell you differently! It's all about finding the right mix of tones and skin fashion forward. I thought for today's post, I'd talk about a skin store that can always be counted on, Silken Moon. 

Silken Moon is designed by the talented Malicia Python. Models with white hair are Silken Moon's signature designs. Her mix of makeup, eyes, skins, and nails really showcase the mystical, fantastical side of SL. I personally think Malicia skins are unlike any other skins I've come across. They are one of the few that stand apart from other fantasy skin stores.

She turns her face to the sky as her eyes close, her hands reach out with open palms with approval.

I thought it might be time to make a rock star style post. Well... my interruption of a rock star! One of the best ways to start a rock star style is by buying the new IceWater Lilith corset dress. I love it when I find or hear about new designers that are awesome! Now, I don't know about you but I think it's hard to find new designers that have good quality clothes. Luckily, my wonderful partner pointed me in the direction of a new brand called IceWater. IceWater has a mix of men and female urban clothes of good quality at affordable prices!

The top I'm wearing is called Kate Bustier paired with the Veronica Mini Shorts. The Kate Bustier costs $199Ls and comes with a HUD of 8 colors.
