500Ls or Less A Fair Maiden

Just another day of role-play! I'm sure you've noticed a pattern now huh? But I figured since I haven't done a 500Ls or Less post in a while, why not make one today? It's always hard to find role-play items that have high quality textures and could be considered 'realistic'. Luckily Les Encantade released a new set of gowns at the We Love Roleplay SIM called AraBella. AraBella is simply beautiful with the floral pattern of aqua ivy-vines and a touch of beige leaves. The corset is made of a dark brown cloth that gives enough support yet comfortable to wear. But how much is this gown? Let's see, if we take off 25%, it will cost you 150Ls. That's right, you heard right! $150Ls for this gown and it's available in 4 other patterns! If blue floral isn't your taste come look at the  other colors that are available.

Wanting to keep the theme of a fair maiden, I headed over to Emo-tions and picked up there new release Giselle. The golden locks flow down into perfect curls that drape to the front of AraBella & the back. When I selected this hair style I knew right away it was perfect! Oh! and the price for the hair? 250Ls

In total a fair maiden styling will cost you the grand total of 400Ls!

In today's blog post the picture was taken by the wonderful Sydney Bonde. This amazing photographer is one of the owners of IMPACT PhotoWorx. She is a diamond in the rough! Her prices are affordable and she always goes the extra mile to try to get your pictures done in the time frame you wish. Downton Abbey

As you might have guessed, I'm a very big fan of historical shows. I've done a number of posts discussing certain movies or shows I'm watching that suddenly inspires me to style. It has happened again today! The show? Downton Abbey

Wanting to bring in the 1920 feel to my styling, I recalled the designer Cerridwen Lynagh releasing Arwen's Mithril not too long ago. But who is Cerridwen Lynagh? Have you heard of this designer before? If not, she's the owner and created of Cerri's Booty. Cerri's Booty is a store I happened to find on one of my adventures in SL. Cerridwen's does amazing glitter attires and whenever I wear one I'm asked, 'where did you get that from?,' it never fails! So why not use it for this styling and show my fellow readers? Why not indeed!

Arwen's Mithril has a number of colors you can choose from. In my styling I favored the blue topaz under dress with the platinum glitter cover. Arwen's Mithril comes with an under dress, dress cover, and a classy pair of strappyheels. Price? Try 399Ls Once again another amazing designer who gives you beautiful things for an affordable price. But what about accessories for this styling?

Luckily I've recently found a new designer that sells stunning accessories at unbelievable prices. If you recall, in another posting, I did promise I would let my reads know where.... and here it is! The store is called Modern Couture. Have you heard of it? If not it's a MUST shop at. Designer and owner, Donatela Couturier, has a vision of jewelry I've never seen before. It's unique and stands apart from other designers I know. Additionally, it's affordable for anyone! Knowing this designers skills I headed over there to pick up Queen Andy's tiara & bracelets. The tiara cost me $150Ls, while the bracelets, that comes in a set of two with earrings, is again 150Ls. Surprised? I was when I came here for my first time!

But what about those long pearl necklaces worn in the 1920s? Where do I get one? Ah Ha! EMO-tion has recently released a necklace set called Abigail. Abigail comes in a set of 6 pieces and each pieces is just as pretty as the next. Honestly, I'll be doing a few posts with this necklace since there are a number of necklaces attached. So be ready to see the name Abigail again, however in this styling I used the long white pearl necklace. How much does Abigail cost? Try 399Ls and personally it's another great buy! With so many necklaces to choose from, you can always mix and match like I did. Stay tuned for more of this necklace set.

Oh! How could I forget! We needed a 1920's hair style. Where to go....where to go.... I know! Lelutka! Josphine from Lelutka is a perfect fit for this 1920s styling with Downton Abbey in mind. What do you think?

And there you have it my delightful readers a styling inspired by Downton Abbey. If you need any help recreating this look please contact me in world and I'll be happy to help! Happy shopping and stay amazingly you.

In Summer!

I am starting to have an itch of wanting for summer, so I popped over to Prism Design. Searching the store I went to summer collection. I'm wanting something bright I found Kay Summer Set in summer wind. Well, I wanted summer and not only did the colors give it away but the name did too. Kay Summer Set comes with bright yellow flower pattern high weighs skirt, a wide green belt, a low cut double layered shirt, and match green bracelets. After putting it on, this adorable ensemble made my day brighter and it was because of choice in colors Prism Designs selected. Now I needed the right hair and accessories.... but where to go? I know! LeLutka and Chop Zuey, if you haven't noticed I often favor these stores!

I stopped off at LeLutka first to pick up Helen. Helen comes with a choice of bow, crown, or go without either. Last stop, Chop Zuey, Chartreuse Swizzle Set completes this 'in summer' styling. The Chartreuse Swizzle comes with a necklace, earrings, and ring. Each piece crafted beautifully!

Now, just for my Frozen fans, as the song goes... The hot and the cold are both so intense, put 'em together, it just make sense! ratdadat dadadadoo! Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle, but put me in summer and I'll be a....HAPPY SNOWMAN!

A Sweetheart at Sweethearts Jazz Club

Though I am lacking my 'sweetheart' (KokoMapiya), I can still count myself as a sweetheart at Sweethearts Jazz Club. With Prism Designs new release Lisette you will be the talk of the club. The stunning sequences dress with an irritable side slit shows an elegant but daring lady. The white fur boa adds a touch of old fashion class, complimenting this sequence delight.

The jewelry is simply a must have! From Chop Zuey, Betty 2.0 is texture changing set that comes with necklace, 2 bracelets, & earrings. A selection of 6 different metals and 20 glass beads. You have to admit it makes it very easy to mix and match with any outfit!

The Rochelle hair, from LeLutka, keeps my styling at a modern day 1920's flapper. While Bax Coen Design Ankle Boots and Soft Shine Panty Hose in white 10 keeps me warm from the winter weather.

The Peace on Earth Hunt 7 is well under way. So many amazing gifts and so little time to show them all off! Add the breathtaking Gloriana set, necklace, earrings, & bracelet, from Chop Zuey and you have a remarkable ensemble that not only stands for peace but will turn heads.

Fight for Breast Cancer Awareness!

It's October and it's not just about Halloween but Breast Cancer Awareness. This month is THE month to make people aware of breast cancer. This topic is rather dear to my heart because I lost my grandmother to it. Though it saddens me, it also gives me the strength to speak passionately about it. Did you know that breast cancer is most common cancer seen in woman other than skin cancer? In fact,  if you live in the US, women have a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer can also effect men, though lower at risk, shouldn't be overlooked. Women, on the other hand, account for 29% of new diagnoses of this form of cancer every year. Surprised? I was! Now, what about age? In the most recent study I could find, 88% of breast cancer death occur in women at 50 or older, however this does not mean you shouldn't get yearly checkups and watch for changes in your body. Doctors strongly encourage for women & men to be aware of changes in their bodies. If you would like more information about this topic please visit here: American Cancer Society: Breast Cancer

There could be dark days ahead for some of us women, but losing a battle doesn't mean the war is over.  Make a difference today, become aware and encourage others to do the same. 1 in 8 people you tell could be saving their life.

To honor my grandmother, others who are fighting for their life, those who've died, and those who've survived from breast cancer, I dedicate this picture to you. When in darkness you are the light, the ones who fought on, unwilling to yield, and carry the memories of all those who love you.

At PurpleMoon they recently released there new fall collection starting with Erica jacket & Acire slacks.  I know, I know, what makes this different from other fall collections? I'll tell ya! The Erica jacket has a 'normal' appearance when you look at it from a frontally view, but turn it around you will find a stunning design that people will take a second look.  The Acire slacks, on the other hand, are well textured with a selection of a belt or without. If worn with a belt, you have 5 colors (brown, blue, black, white, and tan) to pick & choose from.

Now onto the hair! Alex, from Lelutka, gives me that polish look as the copper locks frame the face so elegantly.  What do you think?

Summer time is getting closer and closer. Already down here in the south we are at 90 degree F or 32 degree C. It's about time to pull out those summer clothes! Where to shop? Better yet where can you get good quality clothes at a reasonable price? Answer, IceWater. While I was shopping their I found Lola. Now to add acessories!

Row, Row, Row, your Boat...

don't go very far. Okay, so rowing may not be my “thing”, but at least I'll be looking cute doing it! I owe that to Prism Design, who recently released Leah, and just in time for summer! Leah comes with a shirt, panties, skirt, and belt AND as I said, it's cute, cute, CUTE!

While trying to find the right accessories, I went and did a searching on marketplace. I was looking for something more specific then what I normally wear. Luckily, I found a necklace and bangles that complement the causal chic ensemble Leah. The necklace and bangles are 10Ls each AND you can change them to 15 different colors. Yes, I did say 10Ls.

Because of the recent hot weather already creeping up, the final accessory I added to my ensemble was a sunhat. Sadly, the only way to get this sunhat is to buy the GoGo hair from LeLutka. But GoGo is a great buy too! There is a very good chance you'll wear that hair and use the hat for more than one outfit or styling.

Here's something you may not know about these pictures, the 'wind blowing in my hair' is not a Photoshop trick! In fact, it's one of the newer release from EMO-tions called Windblown 7. I've already had a number of people asking me about this hair so when you wear it know you'll turn heads.

Groovy 60s Chic Meets Modern Chic!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! I know I sure did. It's been crazy during the holiday, but I managed to sneak some time in to show off my newest mix and match fashion trends. Has anyone tired on the Sandra dress from Prism Design? I did and I felt groovy! Even the theme song for Austin Powers started to play in my head. I wanted to grab my gogo boots and go, go! I guess when you try it on, you'll understand what I mean. The Sandra dress cost 350Ls and it comes with stockings of green or white, which is nice to mix it up.

Wanting to add a bit of modern chic, I next grabbed the Vanya Set from EMO-tions. I love this set! Though, my opinion could be bias because I love butterflies BUT the price doesn't lie. Earrings, necklace, arm-band, and bracelet for  299Ls. They also give you a set of choice: gold or silver. I wanted the use the gold for this particular ensemble because the sunglasses from GizzA Creations matched perfectly. The sunglass from GizzA Creations has gold rims with tinted green lenses. These sunglasses can only be found in the Hannah ensemble.

Next, I added Lana hair from Lelutka (280Ls) and then finally the Luna Red Alert 3 lip tone, from Silken Moon. I wanted to give my lips a real punch! The cost of this lip shade color? 75Ls! NOT for one BUT For 4 lip colors! It's an amazing buy don't you think?

Now it's time for me to groove on out of here! Happy shopping and late Easter!

Silken Moon Snow Princess Fae

Skin shopping is hard work and don't let anyone tell you differently! It's all about finding the right mix of tones and skin fashion forward. I thought for today's post, I'd talk about a skin store that can always be counted on, Silken Moon.

Silken Moon is designed by the talented Malicia Python. Models with white hair are Silken Moon's signature designs. Her mix of makeup, eyes, skins, and nails really showcase the mystical, fantastical side of SL. I personally think Malicia skins are unlike any other skins I've come across. They are one of the few that stand apart from other fantasy skin stores.

NOW,  moving on to today's look!

The Snow Princess Fae is creating fresh snow. With the wave of her fair silk hands, she makes the snow fall gracefully. The Eclipes Fab skin from Silken Moon displays her icy fierceness as the snow flakes swirl around. The Self Control gown crafted by BareRose trimmed with an ice netting glistens as the movement of arms do the task at hand. Her Swish arctic hair, from Lelutku is swept back with a few locks tumbling free falling on her Fantasy Elf  ears from [MANDALA]. She turns her face to the sky as her eyes close, her hands reach out with open palms with approval.

New Designer! [Kawaii Dolls]

Have you heard of [Kawaii Dolls]? I haven't until I came upon them recently. [Kawaii Dolls] is a NEW causal chic store by a designer named Catlyn Sahara. Her line of chic causal wear is done with a bright color pallet that leaves a refreshing styling for anyone who wears it. It's also a wonderful place to start if your looking for something new but at a good price.

Out of the selection at Catlyn's store, I was first drawn to the Mikon Wild Dress in Leopard. With the Mikon Wild Dress in Leopard only costing $250Ls you will be looking fierce before you know it. I decided such a fierce dress needs fierce hair, LeLutka Dolce hair does it right! Adding the GizzA Boho Set in stone and N'Core Cinq in black to finalizes this styling.

In today's styling I wanted to change my skin tone to a darker color. When I wear this skin a lot of people ask me where I got it from. This skin is from Glance Skins and it's called Anais. Currently there is no longer an in-world location or marketplace for this store but I hope it comes back soon!

Please note: The pictures in this post seem to change to poor quality. Please find the better quality ones ones here: [Up Klos Photography] Thank you and sorry!

PM for Bullying STOPS here!

Today's the day to wear your PurpleMoon 'Bullying STOPS here!' shirt.

A notecard was sent out in the PurpleMoon group about February 26th being the Bullying STOPS here! day. Since everyone is not in the PurpleMoon group I'm going to copy and paste (for the most part) what it says (but I made some changes):

PurpleMoon Creations invites you to wear a specially created mesh pink shirt for males and females and show your support against bullying. Being Young is the New Beautiful...

Being Young is the new beautiful and you can buy it a MEB. As soon as I saw this chic suit, it became a must have. Young comes with a jacket, shoes, pants, and a strapless black top. Adding the LuLutka hair named Bonjour takes this chic suit to the next level. Finally Jetcity Fashions Black Pearl Set of a necklace, earrings and a bracelet completes this look. From head to toe I felt like a top model and now so can you!

Please note, the Jetcity Fashions Black Pearl Set is free but needs some major editing to acquire the result in the following pictures. The Black Pearl Set is modifiable and to make the pearls darker turn the full brightness on by checking the full bright under Texture. The rest is editing. Are you up for the challenge?

If you're not good at editing, it's alright any simple black pearl necklace can tied this chic suit together.

You can also find Young at Mimi's Choice.
