Look Ahead, Not Behind at 2015

Look ahead not behind, for what was left behind can not be something we can go back too. This is a time when we can use the knowledge gained from 2015 and look to the future. Will this year be any different than last year? Will you reach your goals?  Will you reach your dreams?

In today's post I wanted to say I truly hope you have a beautiful future in 2016. I sincerely hope each of you find joy, if you did not in 2015. I hope you follow your heart, if you did not in 2015. I hope you learn to love yourself, if you did not in 2015. I hope I can call you friend, if I did not meet you in 2015. You are an amazing person and only you can bring something bright & wonderful to this new year that no one else can. Have a safe and happy holiday & new years.

I'd like to take a moment to thank the beautiful photographer Avalon Chrome for her amazing pictures taken for this blog post. Again, her talents shine in her work and she is currently taking clients. Please contact her in world under the name: Avalon Chrome.

Are You Going To Scarborough Fair....

Or maybe the Hair Fair & Medieval Fair V? I went to both! It seems my period styling’s have yet to come to an end and today's blog post is no different.

If you've been a follower for a while now you'd know I did a blog post on the Hair Fair last year called What Is The Hair Fair.... BUT for those of you who haven't.... that's okay!  Let me recap at bit, depending on the designer at the Hair Fair a certain percentage of the proceeds will go toward "Wigs for Kids" Charity.  The one I've selected is from [ Oblivion ] called Middle-Age 032. It suited perfectly for the new release by Les Encantades called Grace. But Grace can only be found at the Medieval Fair, which ends TODAY, July 19th. Oh! The Grace gown is only 200Ls, yet again another amazing design at an affordable price. Now, the down side to my knowledge is once both fairs are over, these two items will be gone. AKA this means act fast to go buy them. All you have to do is click the hyperlinks below and you will be standing right in front of them. No hunting them down is needed.

Now I haven't forgotten about the accessories. Wanting to find something that brings attention, I head over to Chop Zuey and picked up the jewelry set called Paparazzi III. In this styling you can see the shimmering bracelets and necklace are breathtaking. However, the necklace you see in this picture is actually three of the same necklaces. What I did with this styling is layer the same necklace one on top of the other. If you need assistance in getting your necklace to look this way please IM me in world, Eibhline Resident.

AND there we have it! Yet another period piece styling that will have any person bow deeply before you saying, "Your majesty" I'd like to end this blog post with one of my favorite songs. For those of you who got the title of my post, bravo & brava! For the people who didn't, please enjoy this youtube video below.

Humbly M'lord...

My day off and I'm watching The Tudors & Braveheart. There's something about the middle ages and renaissance that I adore! So I thought why not create a styling from this time period? In the past I've done some mashes of different styles in other posts, but today I am going toward the traditional route. Thankfully  the store Les Encantades can help me out with their new release, founded only at The Conquest SIM, called Lyanna Azur. I fell in love! For those of you who watch the Game of Throne's, Lyanna Azue was inspired from the Stark House of Winterfell. Les Encantades does offers 4 other gowns inspired by the other lands, and YES they are all a MUST have, but act fast! It's there for a limited time only! Cost of the gown? Try $200Ls, a steal if you ask me!

Wanting to keep the traditional route I headed over to Oblivion and picked up the hair called Middle-Age 025. What I love most about this hair is you can wear it with or without a hat; the hat comes in six colors. The hair itself can be worn as an updo completely or an updo with a low ponytail (in the picture I have my hair all up without a low ponytail). Now if you're one of those people who say Oblivion doesn't have good textures, you are mistaken. Oblivion has updated their vendors! The textures are vibrant and honestly, for me, it was hard to pick which color to use.

Finally I needed a piece of jewelry that will pull this look together. Chop Zuey has recently released a new set called Chandrani. In this styling I didn't get the chance to use the stunning earrings and bracelets that comes with this set, however I was able to use the necklace. If you look at this necklace closely you can see how magnificent it really is. When I placed the Chandrani necklace on, my styling is complete.

What do you think? Leave a comment below or share this styling with a friend!

The links below will take you straight to the items that I am wearing in the pictures. Happy shopping!

Hiatus!

Goodness it's been sometime since I've blogged. I want to apologize to my followers and sponsors for the delay. I'm sure each of us can relate in some way when RL comes into play, especially with moving across the country! So without further ado, let's get started!

As I'm walking around SL I found myself at Junbug, a store I simply adore! Why? It has such amazing vintage fashions that each gown is a must have. But in today's post I'll be talking about the gown Tomoe-San. As soon as I saw it, I was inspired! The silk gown fitted perfectly to the curve of my frame, the romantic crimson tone that shines and drapes down giving it a stunning touch of timeless style. It was a must buy on the spot! I paired this breathtaking gown with a pair of Aria gloves from PurpleMoon.

Now onto accessories, I needed something just as fabulous as the gown. Where to go? Chop Zuey of course! New release French Kiss will be sure to turn anyone's head! Glamours earrings, necklace, bracelets and ring are an unmistakably perfect for this styling. The set, French Kiss, comes with 10 gem stone and 3 metal options to mix and match as you please, which makes it even better.

Speaking of kiss, how about picking up some lipstick from Madrid Solo Cosmetics called Saturn Spoke. Fierce isn't it?  But let's not forget about the hair. Wanting to do something a bit more modern then the gown, I picked up Caryn from Amacci. This hair comes with changeable flowers, necklace and bracelet (necklace & bracelet not used in this picture).

AND.... that is that! Another lovely styling. I'd love to see if any of these items have inspired you. Don't hesitate to post a link to your flickers that all can see what you came up with.

Wild Thing! You Make My Heart Sing!

From Gaall, this Wild Style made me think of the Wild Thing song! With skin tight black leather pants, mid-drift animal print jacket in zebra, and stripy high heel to match the jacket it would make anyone want to wear it out. Don't have you sold yet? How about the cost is 250Ls and yes shoes are included. But let's not stop there...

Wanting to keep to the zebra theme I popped over to Chop Zuey to pick up Power Illusion in... you guessed it zebra. Wanting to add a touch of naughtiness, I placed the Tattoo Red Rose, from Irish Touch of Magic, across the left breast. Then thankfully, Truth had a crop cut of light blonde Lunara hair to pull it all together.

Prepare For Les Encantade

Remember the SIM called Genre? If not, Genre is a SIM where certain designers are selected to place out unique creations. There I found a new store called Les Encantades and I fell in love. Les Encantade is created by the talented Anouk Haiku. Anouk creations consists of stunning role-play medieval, gothic, and fantasy ensembles. I can tell you this much, her designs inspires me! Radella is one  I must share. Radella is an enchanting gown with fur collar (removable), gold trim waist line & bust, and has gold stars trickling down the shimming fabric of the floor length skirt. But that's all not all!  It comes with an unique tiara and shoulder accessory. The unique shoulder accessory I wanted to use again for the bracelets. Luckily the items are easily copyable! I took Chop Zuey L'Aricaine cuffs and attached the copy items of the shoulder accessory to the cuffs. Then ta-da! You have matching bracelets!

Now, time for hair! Cadice Deux from Zibska suits beautifully. It's modifiable which allowed me to add blue streaks, bring back the blue in the gown. The same blue color I used for the streaks I was able to use for the modifiable, U Color It makeup set from Madrid Solo Cosmetics. In case you want to do the same. The color code for the blue that I used for hair and makeup is - Red: 26, Green: 69,  Blue: 96. Wanting to break up the coloring, I added another makeup from Madrid Solo Cosmetics Insanity Plea in gold. The complete styling reminds me of the Hunger Games meets the 1700s. What do you think? It makes me want to say, "May the odds ever be in your favor."

I wanted to show Radella gown in different wind light settings because the gown is beautiful.

Radella gown can only be found on the Genre SIM. Please know this stunning creation will be available until January 31, 2015.

The Sea Witch? Me? Definitely!

Have you even been shopping and you come across something that makes you go "oooooo" Today was one of those days, case and point below, The Sea Witch from Vengeful Threads. The aqua gown textured in starfish, seaweed, and water droplets. On the shoulders you have beautiful sea weed, coral, and sea horses. It is a lovely fantasy gown that should be added to your wardrobe! To enhance the styling I added Boudoir Water Goddess hair piece and Truth Thelma hair. With such a stunning styling, I had to add vibrant colors to the face! Madrid Solo Cosmetics Dot B eye makeup and Glam Affair Leah lipstick 17 does just that! But let's not forget about the jewelry set to top off this amazing styling, Chop Zuey Tiger Lily. Tiger Lily, is set in orange gems with flexes of yellow green sparkles. It really is a set that would cause anyone to comment on.

In Summer!

I am starting to have an itch of wanting for summer, so I popped over to Prism Design. Searching the store I went to summer collection. I'm wanting something bright I found Kay Summer Set in summer wind. Well, I wanted summer and not only did the colors give it away but the name did too. Kay Summer Set comes with bright yellow flower pattern high weighs skirt, a wide green belt, a low cut double layered shirt, and match green bracelets. After putting it on, this adorable ensemble made my day brighter and it was because of choice in colors Prism Designs selected. Now I needed the right hair and accessories.... but where to go? I know! LeLutka and Chop Zuey, if you haven't noticed I often favor these stores!

I stopped off at LeLutka first to pick up Helen. Helen comes with a choice of bow, crown, or go without either. Last stop, Chop Zuey, Chartreuse Swizzle Set completes this 'in summer' styling. The Chartreuse Swizzle comes with a necklace, earrings, and ring. Each piece crafted beautifully!

Now, just for my Frozen fans, as the song goes... The hot and the cold are both so intense, put 'em together, it just make sense! ratdadat dadadadoo! Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle, but put me in summer and I'll be a....HAPPY SNOWMAN!

New Year Leisurely Stroll

It's a new year, which means new changes! I promised myself that I would clean out my inventory. I'm sure we all know how much of a pain that can be, but after, it's always nice to go shopping for something new. Why not head over to Regal Boutiques? Gaall has a new release called Sofia and this won't leave your inventory anytime soon. The lovely mid-drift fur coat and hip hugger pants is not only comfortable but stylish. But Sofia doesn't stop there! It comes with these strappy high heel sandals to be worn with High Barefeet from Slink. Cost? 250Ls

My hair selected for this styling is from EMO-tions, called Eles. It's an elegant swept back hair style, with soft curls framing the face. It's a piece I'd suggest for any inventory! Add stunning Don't Call Me Betty set from Chop Zuey & a touch of Elit eye makeup from Glam Affair, and you have a lovely, leasurely ensemble for strolling pleasure.

A Sweetheart at Sweethearts Jazz Club

Though I am lacking my 'sweetheart' (KokoMapiya), I can still count myself as a sweetheart at Sweethearts Jazz Club. With Prism Designs new release Lisette you will be the talk of the club. The stunning sequences dress with an irritable side slit shows an elegant but daring lady. The white fur boa adds a touch of old fashion class, complimenting this sequence delight.

The jewelry is simply a must have! From Chop Zuey, Betty 2.0 is texture changing set that comes with necklace, 2 bracelets, & earrings. A selection of 6 different metals and 20 glass beads. You have to admit it makes it very easy to mix and match with any outfit!

The Rochelle hair, from LeLutka, keeps my styling at a modern day 1920's flapper. While Bax Coen Design Ankle Boots and Soft Shine Panty Hose in white 10 keeps me warm from the winter weather.

The Face of Chop Zuey 2015 Results

Did you make it to the finals of The Face of Chop Zuey 2015? In case you didn't hear, the officially winner was the talented Rehana Seljan. I want to give her a shout out and say congratulations! You were fabulous! For the rest of the models who competed it was a fun ride and wonderful to be on the runway with each of you.

Though the contest is over, I wanted to share the rest of my experience to my followers & friends. In the final we were given two stylings to complete. The first was to select two pieces from a list of 16 sets of jewelry and then style using both pieces together. Luckily the one item on the list was the one I thought up a great styling for, yet selection of the 2nd piece I wanted took me a few minutes to figure out. I wrote up my style card script and here is the final result: I love the holidays and in the spirit of the holidays, this take on a Russian Nutcrack ballerina will make you spread the holiday cheer. The dress & hat created from the dazzling Out Damned Spot choker in silver and red. The hat displaying ornaments from the Out Damned Spot earrings, while the bracelets used for the wrists and boot trim in silver & red. The eyebrow jewelry called Splendor Fall makes this simply.... eye catching! Glistening from the ears, trickles down the lovely Splendor Fall earrings in black. As she gracefully turns her holiday dance is complete.

The second styling was to done by The Don Quixote Collection. From this collection 2 items had to be selected to mix & match. I will say this collection was challenging to mix! Each piece in this collection is one of a kind set that stands out in different ways. However, I selected two pieces and created styling and style card: Trimmed branches from the Knight of the Woeful Countenance necklace transformed into a bodice and crown, with bracelets symbolizes her ice crystal abilities. The silver Speak to Me in Love Poems body wrap clings to her waist and boots as this ice fairy makes her prance elegantly about the winter wonderland. For no such beauty in the season of winter can be contained by anyone but Chop Zuey alone.

Overall, The Face of Chop Zuey is one contest I will never forget. I want to say thank you to Belle Roussel  But also Thank you to Frolic Mills & Ponchituti Boucher for an unforgettable contest. Contestants I wish you all the very best in your future and happy holidays.
