Are You Going To Scarborough Fair....

Or maybe the Hair Fair & Medieval Fair V? I went to both! It seems my period styling’s have yet to come to an end and today's blog post is no different.

If you've been a follower for a while now you'd know I did a blog post on the Hair Fair last year called What Is The Hair Fair.... BUT for those of you who haven't.... that's okay!  Let me recap at bit, depending on the designer at the Hair Fair a certain percentage of the proceeds will go toward "Wigs for Kids" Charity.  The one I've selected is from [ Oblivion ] called Middle-Age 032. It suited perfectly for the new release by Les Encantades called Grace. But Grace can only be found at the Medieval Fair, which ends TODAY, July 19th. Oh! The Grace gown is only 200Ls, yet again another amazing design at an affordable price. Now, the down side to my knowledge is once both fairs are over, these two items will be gone. AKA this means act fast to go buy them. All you have to do is click the hyperlinks below and you will be standing right in front of them. No hunting them down is needed.

Now I haven't forgotten about the accessories. Wanting to find something that brings attention, I head over to Chop Zuey and picked up the jewelry set called Paparazzi III. In this styling you can see the shimmering bracelets and necklace are breathtaking. However, the necklace you see in this picture is actually three of the same necklaces. What I did with this styling is layer the same necklace one on top of the other. If you need assistance in getting your necklace to look this way please IM me in world, Eibhline Resident.

AND there we have it! Yet another period piece styling that will have any person bow deeply before you saying, "Your majesty" I'd like to end this blog post with one of my favorite songs. For those of you who got the title of my post, bravo & brava! For the people who didn't, please enjoy this youtube video below.

Where Are My Victorian Gothic Fans?

I don't know about you, but I've always enjoyed the Victorian Gothic stylings, but I never did a post on it before! Thus, I have decided to create one today and here we go! In the last blog post you saw I created a styling with the eighteenth-century in mind. The gown for that blog post was found at Vengeful Threads, and this one can also be found there called Black Baccara. In fact, both gowns are side by side in the store, however both are completely different types of stylings.

The Black Baccara comes with mesh corset that laces up the front and back. The back of the corset is laced in black string while the front with a black ribbon. The pattern of the corset is in 6-point stars, it's simply lovely! The center of the corset is a crimson royal vintage print that is stunning. The lower part of the gown is trimmed with black & red roses, and then fans out with another 6 star pattern. The back of the Black Baccara gown is has a bustle that only enhances this gown all the more. The Black Baccara also comes with high lace shirt and jacket that has frilly sleeves. BUT that's not all! It additionally includes a choker made from black pearls and a large ruby gem that balance between the pearls. The Black Baccara is nothing short but stunning!

Wanting to find the correct hair for this styling I headed over to EMO-tions where I picked up Lucia. Lucia is a lovely up-do that has a tight row of braids curling into a bun. Some curly locks dangle at ears creating a very elegant look. Not surprising Emo-tions had what I needed! Now onto accessories...

The accessories to this styling was too much fun to piece together. I first traveled over to Zibska to pick up this crown accessory called Zephyrine. Though Zephyrine comes with a necklace, I wanted to keep the choker from the Black Baccara gown. But I wanted to incorporate the ruby from the choker somewhere. Using a lot of editing I was able to create earrings from the ruby choker and add the ruby again at the top of the Zephyrine crown. If that wasn't enough, I used the roses from the gown and attached it to the Zephyrine crown as well. Please note unlike most styling’s I blog, the hairpiece in this styling is more complex. To edit the headpiece it might take more of an advance user with editing abilities.

Last but not least, let's talk about the makeup! I can honestly say I was having a hard time selecting which I wanted to use from the store Madrid Solo Cosmetics. I settled on using two different sets! For my eyes I used Spotted Owl, where as the lips Ravens Flight.

AND... da-ta! You have my victorian gothic styling. If you have any trouble finding these items or have questions on how I did something please don't hesitate to IM me in world: Eibhline Resident

Masquerade!

It seems I'm inspired to do more period piece stylings. In today's styling let's switch the era around to 18th century and attend a Masquerade Ball. To attend a Masquerade Ball the first thing I needed is the perfect gown. Vengeful Threads here I come! There I saw Carmilla and snatched it up! Carmilla comes with this stunning gown, matching earrings and chocker. Accessories included!

Next I needed to dazzle the lords and ladies with my fabulous Antoinette hair from EMO-tions. The final touch, the color changeable Curiata Mask from Illusions. This mask was also used in my Mardi Gras post on March 5, 2014. You can always find a way to reuse items! It does help that this mask is color changeable too.

AND there we have have! All ready for a Masquerade Ball! Be warned with this styling people will want to know who's behind that mask. Don't believe me? How about this, while I was taking the picture a number of people IMed me commenting how stunning I looked. One even did an animation of falling to the ground and then IMed me saying, "Your loveliness is overwhelming"

Let's end this post with the song 'Masquerade' from The Phantom of the Opera. Happy shopping!

Humbly M'lord...

My day off and I'm watching The Tudors & Braveheart. There's something about the middle ages and renaissance that I adore! So I thought why not create a styling from this time period? In the past I've done some mashes of different styles in other posts, but today I am going toward the traditional route. Thankfully  the store Les Encantades can help me out with their new release, founded only at The Conquest SIM, called Lyanna Azur. I fell in love! For those of you who watch the Game of Throne's, Lyanna Azue was inspired from the Stark House of Winterfell. Les Encantades does offers 4 other gowns inspired by the other lands, and YES they are all a MUST have, but act fast! It's there for a limited time only! Cost of the gown? Try $200Ls, a steal if you ask me!

Wanting to keep the traditional route I headed over to Oblivion and picked up the hair called Middle-Age 025. What I love most about this hair is you can wear it with or without a hat; the hat comes in six colors. The hair itself can be worn as an updo completely or an updo with a low ponytail (in the picture I have my hair all up without a low ponytail). Now if you're one of those people who say Oblivion doesn't have good textures, you are mistaken. Oblivion has updated their vendors! The textures are vibrant and honestly, for me, it was hard to pick which color to use.

Finally I needed a piece of jewelry that will pull this look together. Chop Zuey has recently released a new set called Chandrani. In this styling I didn't get the chance to use the stunning earrings and bracelets that comes with this set, however I was able to use the necklace. If you look at this necklace closely you can see how magnificent it really is. When I placed the Chandrani necklace on, my styling is complete.

What do you think? Leave a comment below or share this styling with a friend!

Chain Me Up!

Another shopping day and I found myself at EMO-tions. There I became inspired! I set my sights on the Akora hair, tried a demo and the rest was history. EMO-tions Akora hair comes with a hat (cute bow in the back), 2 sets of attached chains and a necklace. While still in EMO-tions I quickly wandered over to the 'Accessories' section and picked up Una. Of course, I wanted to wear more chains to match Akora, which is why Una suits so perfectly. Una is a set of chainmail top and bottoms, that is simply sexy. When you buy Una, you have your choice of silver or gold and to add a slip cover or not. I couldn't help but select the gold to match Akora and I did add the slips for coverage

Wanting to find something that will add to the amazing works of EMO-tions, I mixed and match PurpleMoon Meryl gloves with Chop Zuey's L'Africaine cuffs bracelets. The outcome defiantly enhanced this styling! The next step is skin. Let's head on over to SilkenMoon where I picked up Signature in the skin tone Moonglow. Isn't it lovely? I think it is!

Finally let's not forget the Regency thigh high boots from Bax Coen Design. Just adds a bit more fashionable sex appeal. What do you think?

And there you have it! Another styling that will have people asking, 'where did you get that?'

To end this blog, I wanted to make these pictures a bit bigger than normal. This outfit really is lovely and I wanted you to see the details of each items. If you have questions on where I got any of the items please don't hesitate to post a comment or shoot me an IM in world: Eibhline Resident

Hiatus!

Goodness it's been sometime since I've blogged. I want to apologize to my followers and sponsors for the delay. I'm sure each of us can relate in some way when RL comes into play, especially with moving across the country! So without further ado, let's get started!

As I'm walking around SL I found myself at Junbug, a store I simply adore! Why? It has such amazing vintage fashions that each gown is a must have. But in today's post I'll be talking about the gown Tomoe-San. As soon as I saw it, I was inspired! The silk gown fitted perfectly to the curve of my frame, the romantic crimson tone that shines and drapes down giving it a stunning touch of timeless style. It was a must buy on the spot! I paired this breathtaking gown with a pair of Aria gloves from PurpleMoon.

Now onto accessories, I needed something just as fabulous as the gown. Where to go? Chop Zuey of course! New release French Kiss will be sure to turn anyone's head! Glamours earrings, necklace, bracelets and ring are an unmistakably perfect for this styling. The set, French Kiss, comes with 10 gem stone and 3 metal options to mix and match as you please, which makes it even better.

Speaking of kiss, how about picking up some lipstick from Madrid Solo Cosmetics called Saturn Spoke. Fierce isn't it?  But let's not forget about the hair. Wanting to do something a bit more modern then the gown, I picked up Caryn from Amacci. This hair comes with changeable flowers, necklace and bracelet (necklace & bracelet not used in this picture).

AND.... that is that! Another lovely styling. I'd love to see if any of these items have inspired you. Don't hesitate to post a link to your flickers that all can see what you came up with.
